The latest results from The Nation’s Report Card on math show that many students are struggling.

According to the 2024 Nation’s Report Card, only 39% of fourth graders and 28% of eighth graders scored at or above the proficient level in math. These results indicate that many students are falling behind in essential math skills, which can impact their academic future.
