Located in the South Shore of Nassau County, New York, the Baldwin Huntington Learning Center was opened in 1989, originally in a 2-floor house on Merrick Road. The center is now located on Sunrise Highway in the Baldwin Square Shopping Center, next to Taco Hut and Amore Mio Pizzeria. The Baldwin Center takes pride in its historical town, which has gone through many names, from Hick’s Neck in 1683 to Milburn, and from Baldwinville in 1855 to the town as we know it today, Baldwin. The town itself is only a few miles, but it is full of history. Our center is delighted to reside in a town with a rich past.

The center mainly serves four districts in the area: the Baldwin School District, (home of the Baldwin Bruins), the Freeport School District (home of the Freeport Red Devils), the Uniondale School District (home of the Uniondale Knights), and the Hempstead School District (home of the Hempstead Tigers).

These districts include a large number of schools that the Baldwin center works with: Baldwin High School (a Nationally Recognized School of Excellence), Baldwin Middle School, Brookside Elementary School, Lenox Elementary School, Meadow Elementary School, Plaza Elementary School, and Steele Elementary School, among several others in the area.

The Baldwin center is accredited by the Middle States Association and with such a varied student population, the center understands how important it is to individualize every student’s educational experience. We combine our proven methods with a student’s unique learning style to help every student succeed.
