NEXT PSAT/NMSQT® EXAM

The PSAT/NMSQT® is a recommended exam for students who plan to apply to college. Many students take the PSAT/NMSQT® in October of their junior year of high school. High scores on the PSAT/NMSQT® can lead to scholarships, including about 9,000 National Merit Scholarships.

The PSAT/NMSQT® is similar to the SAT that students take for college admissions. The PSAT/NMSQT® is a shorter exam than the SAT®, and includes only five sections. There is no experimental section on the PSAT/NMSQT®, nor is there an essay or higher-level Algebra. PSAT/NMSQT® scores should indicate how much preparation a student needs before taking the SAT® test later in the junior year and perhaps again in the senior year.

The Huntington PSAT/NMSQT® test preparation program prepares students for the demands of the PSAT/NMSQT® and SAT®, including academic knowledge, time-management skills, and test-taking strategies.

We conduct all programs using 1-1 tutoring, and they all include the Huntington Advantage. Most students attend at least 4-6 hours per week. In addition, please plan to allocate time for assigned homework.

  • If the student has actual exam results, please bring them to the first session so we can use them in place of our own testing
