Subject Tutoring and School Help

What is Subject Tutoring?

Subject Tutoring is supplemental learning for a specific subject, typically for students from middle school through college. For example, Huntington helps students such as the 7th grader struggling with pre-algebra or the 12th grader shooting for an A in AP chemistry.

You can benefit from subject tutoring if

  • You have just begun having difficulty with, for example, algebra or chemistry, but were doing well until this point.

  • You want to maintain your grade, but are concerned that, without extra help, you will fall behind.

  • You want to improve a letter grade, for example, from a B to an A, or from a C to a B.

  • You need the reinforcement that a tutor can provide.

  • You need homework help.

Grades served

Typically, we provide tutoring in the above areas to students in middle school through college. However, if a student in any grade needs help with reading, writing, math, study skills, phonics, spelling, or vocabulary, click here. What do we offer?

  • We conduct all tutoring in our professional offices on a one-to-one basis with a professional tutor who is either state certified or Huntington certified.

  • We meet with parents at regular intervals to discuss progress and set goals.

  • If you wish, we will visit your child's school to discuss the progress he or she is making at Huntington and to learn what the school's
    expectations are.
