Earth science is typically offered in high school. It is the study of Earth and its atmosphere. Knowledge of earth science helps us understand the land, water, and sky in our everyday world. It also helps us take better care of the planet. Careers in earth science include environmentalists, oceanographers, geologists, and petroleum scientists.
