Calculus

Calculus is typically offered in the later high school years. It is an extension of Algebra and Geometry. It has been called the study of change and motion. Calculus allows engineers to create models that predict the effects of changes.

Many students take Advanced Placement Calculus in high school. It is a prerequisite for many college math and science courses. Calculus is used in occupations such as accounting, computer graphic design, engineering, and physics.
