Vocabulary

Students who build their vocabulary become better readers and writers. As readers, they do not stumble over unfamiliar words. As writers, they can choose specific words that express exactly what they want to say. Furthermore, knowledge of higher-level vocabulary words is important to a high score on the SAT*.
